Former House Rep. Dale VanVyven
presents Watchdog of the Treasury Award from
the United Conservatives of Ohio to Joe Uecker
the at reception for award winners. This award acknowledges Representative
Uecker for “recognizing the Ohio taxpayer behind
every dollar of state expenditures” and that
“Representative Uecker understands the value of
conservative fiscal and public policy.”
The award goes on to state, “A healthier Ohio
would surely exist if more legislators abided by
their commitments to free enterprise, low taxes,
greater efficiency in government and
accountability to the taxpayers.” |

Miami
Township, Clermont County, May 20th,
2006: Julie
Marie Meek, the daughter of State
Representative Joe and Patti Uecker, on
May 20th, graduated with a
Doctorate in Pharmacy from Ohio Northern
University in Ada, Ohio.
On that same day, coincidentally also
known as Armed Forces Day, Mrs. Meek was sworn
in as a Captain in the United States Air
Force. Performing
the ceremony was her godmother and Aunt,
Carolyn Uecker (Lt. Col. USAF retired) with
her Uncle Michael Uecker (Lt. Col. USAF
retired) as well as her brother, Captain
Christopher J. Uecker, USAF.
Her husband, Kevin Meek, parents,
family and friends were also in attendance.
Captain
Meek will be leaving for Officers Training
School in July and then she will be stationed
at Wright Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton,
Ohio, where she will be employed as a hospital
pharmacist.
